Great Day!

Now, where did I leave off? yesterday afternoon Matt and I will pillow case hunting and we didnt find ANYTHING!! n joke. Winners best deal was 2 for 10.00 and that was on sale. Dollarstore didnt carry them, but they had pillows. We already told the girls to bring pillows though. A really nice lady said she would make us 11 pillow cases plpus one more and she would have them ready in two weeks. Isnt she nice??
Last night bible study was so great, the discussion was really searching and deep which I appreciated, it was nice to talk with other people on fire for God. We talked about Grace and Peace and how great of a gift that is from God and not just something the minister says in benediction. It was neat and that is what we talked about to think about that in our moment of silence in church. Some people did profession of faith and baptized their baby. It was a really great service! PLus there was cake AND a huge fruit try afterwards. hehe. All the students stood around it eating and talking. It was so funny. I cant get over how welcoming these people are and how willing they are to just love on us.
We went to Adrians after that for Pizza and gamecube then we went t Steph's rugby game. She got hurt, twisted her leg or something so she walks with a bit of a limp. Another girl from the ther team broke her leg! rough sport. I think I might join. What do you think Dad? haha!
Well Matt is waiting for me to finish so we can go play cards at Rob and Ericas, hopefully we dont meet any deer this time. Have a super night guys and Ill blg again tomorrow. love yas alll!
love Amanda and Matt..he loves you to

Crazy Day!

I am sitting here listening to Rascal Flatts while writing on our blog and Matt is sitting beside me completely engrossed in the IKEA catalogue. He likes all the little features there are in the kitchen sets and right now he is looking at chairs. It is so nice that we share the love for IKEA.
He was reading ym blog as I was writing it and now he isnt loking at it anymore, he is emptying the dehumidifier he didnt say I couldnt post it though.
We went grocery shopping this morning and we got $10 off because it is customer appreciation week. You get it for every $100, so that was really exciting. Our cashier was quite the interesting person, she looked to be in her mid thirties and seemed extremely normal. Colured hair niceish clothes (i mean she works at the super store so the uniform cant really tell a lot) let me give you the dialouge
Amanda:HI, How are you?
Cashier: Great, it looks like I will be having a busy day
A: Looks like I will have an expensive one
C: Yeah I am glad that I dont have to buy groceries
A Oh,
C Yeah by the time the bills are paid I dont have enough money fr food
A: So you dont eat?
C I eat once or twice a week if I am lucky
A oh
C I would rather have all my bills paid and if I have any leftover I will get food, but I usually go to families
A Families?
C yeah, I usually go to my families house for supper
A Oh, thats a great idea, it probably tastes good too.
C yeah, it does. My dad just passed away though so I am just learning how to do things for myself.
A oh
C Your total is $$$ and since it is customer appreciation day you get $10 off.
A Awesome, have a nice day.

It was the most random thing ever, I always get the wierdest stories...no joke. And then at the bank I met the neighbour from the daycare. I was like... yeah I walked in your backyard to retrieve a frisbee. So wierd!!! and yet so interesting. I think once the cashier gets on her feet she will be alright, but man oh man tht stirred up a lot of questions like... Did her dad support her all her life? what did she do before? crazy... we should pray for her.
Other than that, my bed sheets are hanging on the line and my apartment is so nice and clean, I was raving about how nice it was and Matt just said.. "it doesnt look that different" maybe it is just because I know that it is clean, Im not sure what it is.
Well Matt and I are off to town and I am hoping he will sit with me and figure out which pictures are going to make it into the picture frame. Tonight we are going to Bible study. I am looking forward to that. We ar e starting a study on Ephesians. It should be interesting. Well I hope you all have a super night and have a nice sunday

ITs Friday!

It is rainy friday. I had a pretty great day, the kids listened a lot better toda y and it was a pretty good day. I finally got my criminal record check today so I can legally work, not that I wasnt before but it wasn't completely all right. Anyway, basically all my paperwork is done now and I can finally not think about any of that anymore.
Fridays at daycare are cleaning days. I have to clean all the toys in the main room, the high chairs and the walls. (I actually did all that yesterday) I also have to clean the bathroom (walls, change table, sink and toilet. We do most of that three times a day. The daycares are more restricted here too. We have to write down when, what, how much the kids eat, write down when they nap, if they had a BM and if they were their usual selfs plus more. It is pretty crazy. We also write down when they arrive and when they come home. And that is just NB regulations. For the other daycare I would have worked at I even had to write down when I washed my hands. Its pretty nuts. You get used to it though.
Tonight I am going to see a movie with Steph and Jefta. I feel a little guilty leaving Matt here all by himself but he said it was ok. But I am going to spend some time with him now before I get ready to go. I hope you all have a great day tomorrow and enjy your day off. Love you All!

You Inspire Me!

I wasn't going to write tonight, bu the thought of all my readers coming to visit... that would just be sad, plus if I dont write you might stop checking!
Today was a long day, the kids all had a really hard time listening and I am standing there trying to remember how we discussed how it should be done in school. I just felt like I was talking to little brick walls all day and when you ask why they arent listening they just say, but I didnt want to do that. Oh Boy. Tomorrow is Friday, I hope that it is better.
GEMS went good too. We have 10 unchurched girls out of 11. It seems like none of these girls know who Jesus is even a little bit. Please pray for Renata and I that we can really reach these girls and show them who Jesus really is and that He loves them. Our theme this year is: Abba I belong to You.
Other than that there arent any big plans for my friday night, right now I am going to watch Greys Anatomy and enjoy bowl f ice cream with Matt and throw a load of laundry in the dryer. I love you all and I appreciate you comments so much! I hope you have super day tomorrow and that something really great happens to you.
Love Always

Check out my Slide Show!

PB Sandwich?

Hey everyone, I reread all your blogs today... Nothing new. I hope you are all still alive and well and doing great. Just a memo to you, Matt made potatoes and chicken fingers for supper last night. I was supposed to make some carrots when I came home, but dinner was ready when I came home so we thought it would be better to just eat what we had that was warm. Now that you have the full version aren't you impressed??
Matt made our lunches again today and he made himself a peanut butter sandwich and he made me a balogna and cheese sandwich. I always warm up those sandwiches because the cheese tastes better melted and the bologna tastes better warm. I took it out of the microwave and realized that it was peanut butter! I ended up having a melted PB sandwich and Matt didnt eat my sandwich, because he doesnt like balogna. oops. It was SO funny though. I think it was a you had to be there moment, but I wanted to share something that made me laugh a lot today. :D
Matt and I had grilled cheese sandwiches for supper. I was just too tired to cook when I got home and we didnt get home from work and such till 6:30. Tomorrrow we are having Lasagna though
Tonight I am writing the GEMS theme verse on bristol board for GEMS tomorrow. I wrote up the rules last night and I think that I am ready for GEMS tomorrow. We are going to decorate pillw cases for our comfy corner, the only thing is that I dont know where to get pillow cases. I looked at Walmart and the only thing they had was two zipper pillow protecters for 7.97 for 2. So I dont know what I am going to do. I think my next option will be to make some, but I dont have a sewing machine, so I am either going to sew them when I go home for thanksgiving ... Mom does that sewing machine (the little one) that Me Dianna and Mary got from Beppe still work? If it does, could I borrow it? Otherwise I will just cut everything out and try to sew it while I am home, another option is to find some really nice old Beppe around here to do it for me. hehe.
Anway, I am not really writing about anything and I know that you are all very busy. I hope you had a great day and that something happened that really made you laugh. Thanks for your comments, I love you all alot

Matt Cooked!

Matt had a good day, he studyed a lot and did some house cleaning and cooked dinner, it was all ready when I came home. It was so nice and I appreciated not having to cook yet when I got home.
My day at work was pretty good. The kids were a bit cranky so I think there might be a full moom coming or a big storm. Whatever comes first I guess.
Other than that there isnt a lot to tell, I got some bristol board for writing down the rules and the theme verse for GEMS. I also have to get pillw cases for 10 girls. I think I will end up making them, I couldnt find any and I wouldnt know where I could get that many for a cheap price, so I am going to see if I can get my hands on a sewing machine.
I think I will write out the rules and such. Dont forget to comment. I love hearing from ALL of you!

Super Great Day! (how is that for a captivating title?)

Today was a great day. It was a little tough getting out of bed this morning, but once I was up I was ready to go. While Matt made lunches I put leftover spaghetti sauce in the crock pot. This was the first time I have used it and I was really curious to see what was going to happen to my spaghetti sauce. I was going to put it on the low setting, but Matt recommended to put it on the keep warm setting. I took his suggestion figuring that it not being done when I got home was better than burned. When I got home from work it was happily simmering away, it worked PERFECTLY and I was glad I listened to Matt.

My day was pretty good. my boss's glass table shattered today so my co worker had to spend a lot of time cleaning it up as my boss was not at home, we couldn't go outside with it all over the place because it had fallen through the cracks. So I did circle time with the kids and got them ready to go outside. It was a lot of fun, and so busy...which I like. And then I had to get the glass from between the cracks of the deck until I had to leave, so I kept really busy and my day flew by. I also worked really well with my coworkers and we had a nice general chat at lunch. I am really starting to feel part of things.

Yesterday was a really great day too. Matt and I went for a drive to see the dam and find Crabbe Mountain and see how long it takes to get from there to here. It was such a beautiful drive with all the fall colours and beautiful scenery. The whole drive became a photo op, to find great pictures for our empty picture frames. It was SO fun. After that we went to Rob and Erica Brown's and played Rummoli. It was a fun game. By the time we got home it was a bit late which made it hard to get up this morning. (now I am at the beginning again) Anyway, Matt needs to study and today that involves the computer, so I am going to make myself a list of things I have to get for Gems and hopefully read my book or watch TV. Have a great night. Love MAnda
PS Hope you like the pictures of our drive!

Two posts, one day, they could make a TV show!

What a great day, Mom and I were super successful in our shopping endeavour, the first picture shows the beautiful flower arrangement that we invented. I had to move the clock up a little bit because it was a little hard to read the time. Just so you know, I did it all by myself. I am really happy with how it looks and it is amazing how just a few little touches can make the world of difference. I thought I loved my home before the changes! Then I got some nice place mats at Wicker Emporium (1$ea.) They are for special company. The runner is my table decoration with the little candle flower centerpiece. If you click the picture you will be able to see the details better. In fact you can probably see what time it is here perfectly.
My last purchase is the picture frame. I have to figure out which pictures get to go into the frame yet, but so far Micaiah is the first choice along with some flowers. Matt also suggested the dam near here as another one. It should be a nice together project, I have the initiative and the get go and he has the eye for the fine things and simple beauty. He is really great at that stuff and it is fun to do together. The picture frame will be replacing the thermometer, which I HOPE does not end up on the wall again!! I will update again once this all happens and also where we agreed to put it. We just came from going out for dinner with Tyler, Jefta, Tim and Christine. It was a lot of fun, we also watched a rugby game and went swimming together today. It was a great day beautifully finished up with a long awaited phone call from Dianna. What a super day, I was in contact with a lot of my family today and it was super nice. Well I think that is enough for today, I hope you like the new things, but It doesnt matter if you dont, cause I do. :D I love you all and have a super week! Much love and hugs and kisses
Love Amanda
and Matt too... minus the kisses and probably hugs too!

I can never think of a good title!

I am sitting here on Saturday morning, Mom, Dad, Caleb and Damaris are at the hotel and Rebecca is sleeping on the couch, well actually I think that she is waking up. I suppose the sound of typing would be a really annoying noise to listen to. But o well. It is 8:45 and way past time for people to get up. I can not sleep in, at times I find this to be really annoying especially when it is the weekend and you are ready to go at 7:30. Matt gets really annoyed too. hehe.
It was so nice to see Mom and Dad and It was fun sharing little place and showing it off, which by the way, has become a new hobby. I am not sure what we are doing for breakfast, but I am either cooking something (pancakes and cinnamon rolls was my decision) or they are taking us out. That I wouldnt mind, but my other sisters fed them and I wouldn't want to look bad. I always have been more of a mooch than anyone else. :)
Other than that I am not sure what we are doing today, Mom made mention that some of our walls were bare and that we could use some more decorations. Maybe she will help me solve that problem today! I hope so.
Anyway, within the space of five minutes both Matt and Rebecca are up and moving. Haha, mybe typing IS annoying. Rebecca is headed for the shower and Matt is going to find some cartoons to watch. So that is all for today and I will write again either Monday or sunday. I love you all and I hope that you have a fantastic day!

GEMS!

Tonight was an interesting night. I am team teaching a class with Renanta, we have 9 GEMS and most of them come from broken families, It seems like it may be a challenging year to make Jesus seem real to these girls. I feel like I can't reach them, but it is only the first night too. Renata and I talked about how we are going to make our class cozy and comfortable. I am planning on posting some pictures next week. I would really appreciate your prayers for the girls and especially that Jesus will be real to them and that when their worlds are upside down that He is there. Thanks!
On another note I feel the need to mention that my O's are sticky, so If im missing an O you now know why!
I had a really great day today, but I am looking forward to the fact that tomorrow is Friday and payday (with a ridiculous amount of deductions!!!) I am also excited because Mom and Dad are coming to visit me with Rebecca, Caleb and Damaris. Rebecca is hoping to go shopping with me while she is here So I am hoping I can be a great sister and fulfill that wish for her!
Matt is feeling a lot better, he has a bit of a cough, but he was feeling well enough to go to school today, he also got some car wash and Blistex for me. So my lips were super excited. I love that Blistex stuff, it works so well and my dry lips already feel better.
Well family of mine, I'm out! I love you all so much!

PS IT WAS ME THAT GOT TANTE TECTY BLOGGING.... hehe! Im just that good :) (she said with a VERY smug smile)

IT's Complete!

We had Lasagna at our brand new table this evening. It was quite delicious! In fact I was so full I couldn't wait to stretch myself out on the couch and absorb everything. Imagine that after sitting on the couch for three weeks anticipating a table.
It is a small table, but it is perfect for our space and family size. I don't think I will be having any large dinner parties anytime soon. Haha

I did end up helping Matt put together the table. I had to wipe up the extra glue overflow. :D so I did do my share! yay!

I also made some cookies for our first night of GEMS tomorrow. I am super excited! I am co teaching with Renata vanOord. I think it should be a lot of fun. It will be nice to spend an evening with someone who understands my sarcastic sense of humour besides Matt.

Then Mom and Dad, caleb, Damaris, and Rebecca are coming to visit me Friday night and Saturday! It's so exciting, I am hoping they come with a lot pictures. Dianna put some pictures on the blog, but I am so sad that I can't cuddle that baby, I get to cuddle babies everyday, but I can't cuddle that one. I am glad I will see him at Christmas, you have no idea how much I am looking forward to that!
Well I think thats it for now. Thanks for reading! I love you all and I hope you have a good last half of the week! Lots of Love,
Amanda

PS This is my nephew. Micaiah Ray Spangler. I really wish I could cuddle him. Christmas will be here before I know it and I can't wait. I love everyone elses little babies, I wonder how holding someone so precious will feel. Love you all!

Oh BOY oh Boy!!!

I am so excited. I checked my phone at lunch time and I had a voice mail. This was exciting for two reasons, first: it was my first voice mail. second: My table came today from IKEA!! yipee!! The picture below is of the box that everything came in. The one beside is the bottom of the table.
This other picture is of all the little chair pieces. Putting it all together is Matt's job. I know I know, it would be SOO romantic if we did that together. The thing is we aren't good at doing things like this together. I get impatient and want to keep doing things and I am a little all over the place. Then Matt spends more time watching me and making sure I'm not making any mistakes that he doesn't get anything done. He doesnt mind doing it by himself and I don't mind watching TV and emailing. hehe

I had a really great day today. I am in the groove of going to work and the days pass quickly. I just love kids so much and I am really learning a lot about babies and smaller kids. I'm not so scared anymore and it makes me lok more forward to having my own kids. NO dont get your hopes up, we are still waiting a long while.
other than that things are going really great, I think I am quickly going to make some shortbread cookies for GEMS snack on Thursday, since I can actually go. Dad said he was going to come on thursday night but now he is actually going to come friday night and stay for a bit on saturday. I am so thankful. I was dissapointed that I was going to miss GEMS. Now everything is working out and I get the best out of all worlds. So other than some loads of laundry life is so great. Thanks for your love, prayers and comments. I love you all so much and apprecite everything more than you know. You make me smile.
Love Always Amanda
and Matt loves you all too!

Another Great Day!

Today was a great day. Work was great and the kids listened pretty well for a Monday. Matt is laying on the couch right now with a bad cold and I am babying him. I made him rice and tea for supper and made him lay on the couch while I did the dishes. It is kinda fun..
Now we are watching a movie together and planning on going to bed early.
We got a vacuum cleaner for our rug, we actually got a shop vac so that Matt can clean the car with it too. It doesnt work super well for my rug, but I think I can make it work. We dont have any space for an official vacuum and otherwise I can always get a swiffer carpet flick for the rug.
Other than that there isnt too much news to tell. I am going to keep it short and sweet for today. I hope you all have a great day

Great DAy!

Dear Faithful readers who don't mind reading about my day. I love you!! Today was such a great day! I woke up late and started doing my hair. Unfortunately Matt had just taken a shower and the mirror was all steamy (don't you just hate that?) Anyway, no big problem, I go out my blow dryer so that I could see in the mirror. While I was doing that I was curling my hair and then as I turned on the blowdryer it suddenly started eating my hair... it was a little scary but such an Amanda thing to happen. Don't worry though, I only lost like 10 strands of my hair. My blow dryer on the other hand was not working so well so matt made a little hole in the vent and pulled out the hair, so its all good!
After all that we still made it to church on time. The people there are so nice and extremely welcoming. We went to our friends uncle's birthday party after church and ate a lot of food and right after that we went to his Opa and Oma's house for lunch. It was so yummy!! We had Vegetable soup and buns with meat and cheese and meatballs, there was so much food for one day, and they were such kind and generous people. I feel like such a part of the church family here and the people our age are so quick to invite us along and make sure that we feel a part of everything. It's nice. Tonight we are going to play cards at another couple from our churches house. It should be a lot of fun.
Other than that there isnt a lot to tell. I had such a nice day. Thanks for all the comments!
I love you all
Amanda

ok ok... Only one day late :)

Dear Friends and Family,
I meant to write my blog yesterday, but this week Matt has been a little neglected, I usually come home from work tired and... a little cranky. So I made some supper and we had family night and watched a movie. :D Mostly we don't have the TV on while we eat so that we talk more and I don't want that to become a routine at all. So far we have been doing really well, I can't wait to get out Kitchen Table though, I think it will be a lot easier. Especially to get up and wash the dishes. The couch is awfully comfortable after you have just eaten a warm meal.
Matt and I met Jefta and Tyler at the farmers market this morning and we got some tomatoes, green peppers, eggs and sausages. Yumm! We did a whole little tour of the jam packed market and then we went grocery shopping. We did pretty well on not spending too much (we even got, cake, ice cream and chips hehe) But I made a menu for two weeks, so I think that will work out a little better.
Now I am just taking a break from cleaning the house, after I am going to bake some chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. When they are done I prepackage two cookies in cling wrap and put them in the freezer, by 12:00 for dessert they are SO yummy!! I made a half batch last week, but I think we can handle a full batch of cookies.
That is pretty much the excitement of today and yesterday, you haven't really missed anything, you may have gotten less of the mundane details.
Tonight Matt and I are going out for dinner with Jefta and Tyler. I am looking forward to that a lot. Matt is looking in the Phone Book (we finally got one, what a relief) for a nice pub where we can eat, he likes the atmosphere of those places, I do too. But Matt cares more about details than I do. It is a really great quality that I often appreciate, like when my mirror is hanging on the wall strait because he took the time to actually properly measure it. haha. Clothes shopping is another matter though, I can hardly stand to go with him because it is so hard for him to find something he likes. I am not one of those women who buys all the clothes for their husband and they don't care what it is as long as it is practical. He found a sweater that he did like yesterday, so that was really good.
alright, this is going to be it for today and I should be able to post again tomorrow afternoon. I love you all and I really hope that you have a great weekend.
Love Always
Matt and Amanda

Middle of the Week!

Hello All,

Today was a great day, I dropped Matt off at school around 8 and then went downtown to drop off my health card application. I figure that since I am becoming a New Brunswick resident then I should do it the right way and go the whole nine yards. Thankfully I found the right spot, got disoriented a lot and then made it to work twenty minutes early. And no, I didn't speed. Although I figured out that the speed limit to my work is 60kmph when origianllt I thought that it was 90kmh. Haha, at least a kind police officer didn't have to mention that fact while he was writing me a ticket.

Matt had classes today, According to him it was a usual day and there isn't a lot to tell. He doesnt go into as much detail as I do. :) We stayed in town for supper since I was going to have coffee with a friend from Hollad College. I had such a nice visit with her and it was nice to catch up and talk about stuff, especially about work and stuff since we are on the same page and can share tips and techniques.

Tomorrow should be another routine day. I don't think that I will have time to write tomorrow, sorry for any dissapointments that will cause, I know you are all eager to hear about my day... hehe. Tomorrow I am going to Jefta's house after work and we are going to get ready for the GEMS tea party together. It should be a lot of fun. We get to wear pretty dresses and I am supposed to wear a hat and gloves... but I don't have that stuff and I have currently run out of time to purchase such unnessecary things. haha. I may remember to take a picture. They always look nice on my blog and are less discouraging for the people who don't love to read.

Well It is way past my bedtime, but I hop eyou all have such a great day, I will email you all on friday... don't give up on me yet. :D I love you all!

Another busy day is over again. My day went quite well, Matt didn't have school today so he stayed home and studied. Well he didn't do just that, he also did some laundry for me and helped me cook spaghetti for supper. It was so nice and I appreciated it so much not having to do all that when I got home.

My day at work went pretty well, it was pretty good. The kids are starting to understand that I am a permanent addition to the daycare and that it is necessary for them to listen to me. The person that I am working with is also very helpful reminding the kids of this. I think by next week there should a better understanding and a larger level of respect for me. I am also getting to know my co workers a lot better too, that makes the day more fun when you start to understand each others humour, I don't think they quite get mine yet... but they will soon understand not to take me so seriously. haha

After supper Matt and I went to Oromocto to get the rug that we had rain checked. It is really pretty. I posted a picture so that you can get the general idea of it. Other than that, that was our day, I am planning on doing some serious relaxing right now, so I apolgize if you are dissapointed that you aren't getting your own email. I am pooped, I hope that I get used to it and that this wont be a constant thing, but we'll see. I will hopefully have time to email you all tomorrow. I still love you all and I would totally love to read your comments.

Love Always,

Amanda

First Day of Work!

Hey All,
We had such a nice visit with Mary last night. We heard all about her cool dig at louisburg. She even got to dig up bodies and bag them and stuff. It sounded pretty neat. She also had some cool pictures.
This morning we got going at 7. Matt made lunches and I got myself ready, Im really enjoying the deal where he makes lunches and I cook supper. It gives me time to get my things together and get ready while he makes my lunch. Plus I love to cook supper! Matt made french fries and chicken strips for supper. It was yummy.
Matt was at school by eight so that ended me up at work at 8:15 to start my 9:00 shift. Good thing I already fore warned my boss that this was going to be happening. I was really nervous going into my first day, because the reality is that I am going to be here for three years, so the need is greater to love my job. This daycare has 14 full time kids and I already know all their names. And after a long day, I think I really like it there. It felt really wierd leaving before all the kids were gone. I am so not used to that. I felt a little guilty :D hehe. The daycare is really nice. It is a licenced center, but it is a lot smaller than a lot of daycares, I do like the homey feel of the way that everything works. The backyard they have is so nice and the kids have a lot of room to move and play. The kids here are a lot younger than I am used to, so I have to get in the toddler talk translate mode. I think it will only take a few weeks to get that back though.
I know this post is really all over the place, but that is how I am feeling right now. I am so tired, after a week or so I should be all used to it though.
Matt had a good day in school, I don't think there is much more that I can add about his day because he is not as excited about all the things that I am. haha. Well, I have some laundry to fold up and another load in the dryer.
I hope you have a really great week. Thanks so much for the comments guys.
Love Amanda

The End Of Our First Week Here.

Hello all,
Sorry if I let anyone down my not having a post for you to read yesterday. Matt and I went early to the Farmer's Market so I didn't have time to write when I got up in the morning. We had a nice time at the Farmer's Market, There were alot of fresh vegetables. Dad, they were selling a 1-2lb bag of Norlad's for $5. It's too bad that I live here now, we could have totally done that at home. Maybe rebecca should start a side business for you. :D All Matt and I got were some samosas they were quite delicious. We did see alot of things I liked but since we have a lot of veggies in the freezer I couldn't really justify it.
We just relaxed for the afternoon, Matt studied and I baked, cleaned house, painted my nails, and cooked supper. It was a fruitful day. My friends came over yesterday night. It was so fun to hang out, talk and watch a chickflick.
Matt and I went to the Fredericton CRC for church this morning. It was really nice, they have a few people our age and we are going to start a bible study. We had a kick off BBQ at one of the people's houses. It makes it so fun to live here, they do a lot together and I think they will make great friends.
Other than that there isn't a lot to tell. Things are honkey dory here and I am looking forward to starting work tomorrow. I will let you know how that goes.
I hope you all enjoyed a great weekend and have a great week doing whatever you have planned. It was so nice to hear from all of you guys, I appreciate so much that you take the time to write us.

The name's Tante... Tante Manda!

YAHOO!!! Dianna had her baby. It is so exciting yet so unreal. The baby is a boy, his name is Miciah Ray Spangler (not sure on the spelling, but at least you can sound it out, plus that is how I would spell it... but I may be wrong {that has been known to happen a time or two.}) It is so fun. But honestly, It totally hasn't sunk in, I can still remember easily when we were little playing with our dolls, taking them to the doctor, the grocery store and feeding them and putting them to Bed. And now Dianna has to do it in real life. I am also wondering if my first baby will be a girl. Dianna had the boy doll baby and I had the girl. That will be interesting now won't it? Don't worry we have LOTS of time to speculate!
Matt talked to Prof. Cooke, they guy who we met with in the summer and who is our main contact at UNB and the situation was a little worrisome but he sorted everything out for Matt. He is even in the course that he wanted to take all along. We were a little worried, but God decided that this is really the place that Matt and I need to be. So I think that everything at this point has worked itself out. So right now Matt is studyi ng construction. He seems to enjoy it a lot so hopefully that keeps up.
Matt needed to be at school at 8:00 today, So I went along so that I could have the car for my 2:00 appointment at the daycare. I drive to Jefta's apt and sat in the parking lot and texted her a message that I was there and whenever she wanted company I was availiable. I began to read my book, she called a few seconds later and was shocked that I was parked in her driveway. haha it was funny (is this a "you had to be there" thing) After that we hung out until Steph came and then we checked out the Wal-Mart on the north side (talk about huge and nice, it has a complete grocery store plus paint and decor and then normal Wal-Mart) and we checked out Steph's place too. Then I went to the daycare, it is so fun there and the girl that I am working with there is really nice too. My boss also told me that the parents always need a babysitter and that they pay $10an hour. That might be nice extra money, I hope I don't have to fight for it though. Other than that we got Matt's passport done came home and had dinner (potatoes, pork chops, red cabbage and gravy...MMM) Now I am catching up on my emails and doing the blog thing and then I'm going to nicely read my book. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. I love you all and don't forget to leave a comment. I love to know who I am talking too!

A Nice Evening

Hey All,

I had an interesting day, I got my NB driver's licence! I was told at the DMV that if I get pulled over with this one that I will get a fine for having a car registered in PEI. haha... Its a no win situation. The Solution : Don't get pulled over, plan B: Cry!
Matt got a couple emails today from UNB and something didnt quite work out since he was missing one course from UPEI. It was supposed to be all worked out but it turns out that it isnt. So that will be Matt's job tomorrow between classes. Prayers are always appreciated. I am not to worried about it though. I think it will all work out well.
Matt made some salsa for supper and we are watching The Game Of Thiers Lives (it is one of the cheap movies we got from Blockbuster) Dad I would love it if you could take me lots of taters and my birth certificate and passport. I love you all and miss you lots .
Love Always,
Amanda

Another Busy DAy!

Hello All!
Things went fairly well today. We got up early, picked Jefta up and went grocery shopping. We spent a lot of money but I made my self feel better because I got bags, and vegetable oil and a lot of other things that I wont need for a while. Matt and I are going to make it last for two weeks, that way the amount we spent will be at least a little bit reasonable. When we got home we had Pork Chops, Beans and Potatoes for lunch. It was so yummy. We had leftover fried potatoes for supper too, so all in all it worked out really well.
After lunch we went into Oromocto to get my criminal record check done, but alas they wouldnt do it because I am not an NB resident, but since I live here I was told that I need to get a NB Driver's licence otherwise if I get pulled over they will take my licence away and charge me a lot of money. But Matt on the other hand could have gotten his record checked because He is a student. I was so mad and frusterated. Anyway, we are going to go in tomorrow and try and get a Driver's Licence here, but I don't have my birth certificate so I'm not sure if that will work. I hope so. But since my makeup is still in PEI and I am here possible getting my picture taken tomorrow I got some make up so that at least I don't look like a racoon with those big circles around my eyes. :) Good excuse to get new make-up eh? I even got some nail clippers and new fancy under the bed boxes WITH wheels. Totally awesome.
When Matt and I went to Oromocto we went to the Canadian Tire and they had that rug on display with none in stock... go figure and the guy told me that he would lose his job if he sold that one to me. He DID however give me a raincheck for the sale and they will call me when they come in. He figures a few days. Isn't that so exciting. So im anti Fredericton Canadian Tire! :)
Other than that we didnt do too much, I caught up on all my emails and am finishing with my blog. I love you all and thanks for your comments.
Love Amanda

Another Sucessful Day!

We did so much today!!! We got up early and went to UNB to pick up Matt's student loan. Don;t kid yourself in thinking that it was that easy!!! First we had to find the place. We started at the bottom of the hill where the engineering building is and tried to find our way. There were no signs or anything. We finally found the building when we got to the very top of the hill. YES! I did get my exercise today! Once there it was just a matter of a line up and we got our stuff.
After that we went and tried to talk to a Professor
of Matt's, but he was unavailable for comment. So we will

try again tomorrow. Matt was trying to register for a course but they said he didn't have the prerequisite for it. It turns out Matt did have all the courses but they haven't transferred yet, so Matt just has to talk to the right person.
After that we got our cell phones. It was so exciting. I took pictures with it (notice the nice picture of Matt's Potrack) and put them on my computer and now they are on facebook.
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2956&l=2d296&id=507882331
Here is a link. It is easier than doing it on here, I can only fit six and then I have to pick which ones.. : D.
That was a lot of fun. Then we picked up Jefta and went Shopping at Canadian Tire... we needed a coat rack and I had a gift certificate!!! :) we also found a really nice rug hanging up there. So we told them we wanted to buy it. Apparently they had 3 in stock but they couldn't find any and I absolutely couldn't convince them to sell me the one hanging up. I was SO mad!!! Matt even asked what if it "fell" down, But it was for display and they couldn't sell it since their last shipment of rugs hadn't come for three months so they needed to keep it in case they didn't get any for another three months. How lame is that?? Does that even make SENSE?? no! Anyway... we'll find another one, and it wont be from Canadian tire!!!!
When we came home we played with and set up our cool new cell phones. Then our landlord's (Dave and crystal) daughter Amanda came to get us for supper. We had BBQ'ed chicken, corn on the cob, fresh beans, and basmati rice. It was delicious!! We had such a nice evening with them. Unfortunately I missed Dianna's call though, that was a little sad because I was so looking forward to it. It was all good though, they are great people and I don't think Matt and I will have any trouble getting along with them.
Anyway, I'm sure you didn't plan to sit down and read a novel! I love you all and please don't forget to comment.... I love those things. I checked this morning and I felt like it was my birthday. I got all giggly and excited. See what power you have!! I love you all and miss you lots but I am happy and I know that Matt is too. Have a super day and I'll probably write again tomorrow.
Love Always,
Amanda and Matt too

Labour Day!

I have laboured my labour day away and have gotten all my clothes put away and all the boxes emptied. It is so nice to have everything neat, tidy and organized. I am planning on cleaning the floor later. I haven't found a cord for my camera in all my unpacking so we'll have to see what happens.
It was so nice to hear all your comments. I can just imagine you all sitting where you usually sit to read my blog. It makes me a little sad because I can imagine myself there too. Whenever I feel the tiniest bit homesick I just look at Matt and I'm all right. It is funny how when I was at home I had to preplan my day so that I could get everything done and now when I do that I am done in one morning. It is so wierd. I miss that but I love it at the same time.
I went for a walk on the trail behind our house today. It was the nicest trail as I walked it I wondered who made the trail and if they would care if I was on it. As I was thinking about that a very big black dog starting barking at me :|. I turned around and quickly walked back home to my safe little space. :D
Other than that there isn't much to tell. I will post again later. Have a super day everyone!!! I love you all! Don't forget to leave your comment! just click on the word comments and it should be simple from there.
Love Always

All Moved IN!

Alright, since Matt and I have officially moved away from home It is time for me to start a blog. It is dedicated to Dad, you can thank him because he convinced me it was a great idea. I do not know how faothful I will actually be, but I hope to do alright. Your comments would be most encouraging. :)
Things are going really well here for Matt and I, we are already settled in here with a lot of the boxes unpacked. Matt and I are unpacking the clothes tomorrow and putting them away. I am looking forward to that job and finding the best places for everything. Matt replaced the shelf in the closet and he did a super job, it can now go from holding barely a thing to everything. :D
I am enjoying cooking for Matt and I, there isn't a huge difference except now it is for 14 people less. The stove is electric which I am not used to, but I haven't had any difficulty yet and my Paderno pots are working so beautifully.
I will put some pictures up this week, although I am thinking that the computer cord may be at home. I left a few things at home... my make-up being the worst... Hopefully Mary will come to my rescue and bring it when she comes to visit me. I am looking forward to her visit, I love showing my little home around so that people know what I am talking about when I am talking.
Other than that things are great! I am going to watch a movie with Matt now and he is going to make me salsa, Dad told him all the tricks yesterday, so we'll have to see how it turns out.
I'd love to hear from all of you and I'll post pictures as soon as possible.
All My Love,
Amanda
and Matt too of course
